Support Groups
The support groups sponsored by the Foundation provide a safe environment for lupus patients, family and friends to learn about lupus and coping skills vital to living with a chronic and often debilitating disease. Lupus support groups are guided by volunteer facilitators and co-facilitators selected and trained by the Missouri Chapter. Each group sets its own format for meetings. Meetings often include presentations designed to increase understanding of lupus, discussions of various aspects of life with lupus, and coping skills targeted specifically at the physical and emotions challenges faced by lupus patients.
Lupus Support Groups are an environment designed for support and information in all matters pertaining to lupus. They are a place to learn, share and help others while being helped. Our support groups are open to anyone who cares to attend. There is never a charge to attend and no pre-registration is required.
